ABOUT ME
Coming from a musical background, Bartolomé grew up playing violin, performing both as a soloist and with his local string orchestra. He later studied music composition at the University of Hertfordshire, where he began developing his path as a composer for film, television, and games. He resides in the United Kingdom.
Since then, he has worked across independent short films and international productions, and award-winning animations, including Smorgasbord (2025), which won at the Royal Television Society (RTS). In 2026, Bartolomé is scoring Olaya, a Peruvian feature film based on the life of José Olaya, scheduled for theatrical release in 2026.

In addition to his work as a film composer, Bartolomé enjoys writing, studying and discussing ideas. He posts on his blog, available on this website, and has created projects to foster these discussions.

Thematic Breakdowns is a series Bartolomé did on his YouTube channel in 2025 in which he analyses film music themes to understand why they make us feel the way they do. Complementing that, The Spotting Session is a weekly newsletter in which Bartolomé discusses film music. You can watch here and subscribe here.
Secondly, Project Synergy. (Currently on hold)
Project Synergy is an online arts and culture magazine that explores meaning through creative thinking. Here, Bartolomé is the project director. They've published four issues: Origins, Home, Design, and Change. You can read more here.
